MTH1013 History of the Arts

Description:
This unit is principally concerned with examining the historical role of the arts in society and focuses on the inter-relationships and discrete nature of dance, theatre, music, design, literature and painting. Through exploration and project work, students will appreciate and understand the different periods and genres, as well as their relationship to the social and cultural context in which they were created.
