This unit provides an overview of the contemporary broadcast media landscape. It introduces students to the history of broadcasting, and explores new directions taken by conventional, web-based and mobile delivery platforms. Students will evaluate a range of broadcasting formats in the context of target audiences, and be introduced to the principles of gathering and conveying information for broadcast.
