Description:
This unit develops an understanding of the telecommunication networking technologies, with particular emphasis on their structures, applications and services. It covers the deployment, operational and management issues related to the access networks, the metropolitan area networks, and the long-haul network. It evaluates alternative technologies for each segment of the network, and develops the fundamental skills for network design.
