Description:

This unit considers dramatic texts representative of a given historical, social, or dramaturgical context. Such a context may be defined chronologically, such as 'Mid-century American Drama', socially, such as 'The Theatre of War', or by a particular movement, such as Expressionism. The unit examines the ways in which the works interact with the attitudes, values and concerns associated with the context.
