This unit examines the responsibilities and role of the Certified Practising Planner in Australia. It identifies the main elements of the practice of planning for the private, public and not for profit organisations and their respective functions. This includes practice management, legislative, administrative and financial reporting, liability and indemnity requirements and human and technological resources. The role of operational and documentation procedures and standards and information sources and management are also discussed. Other contributions are examined including professional development as advocate, expert witness or mentor, community involvement and charitable involvement. | |||
