LAW1600 Legal Writing and Research
Credit Points: 15

This unit is a basic introduction into legal research and writing skills that law students will need in order to successfully complete a law degree and to become work ready practitioners.  Students will exercise and sharpen these skills in other law units as they progress through their law degree.  This unit will introduce students to:  law library research skills (hard and electronic formats); clear legal writing; plain English drafting; legal logic and argument; professional presentation and style; and oral presentation and argument.
