This unit provides an introduction to international trade law. The units is designed for students with no prior knowledge of the area, though completion of LAW4108 International Law would be an advantage. The unit surveys trade law from the creation of private contractual relationships of parties, the international carriage of goods, through to the legal regulation of trade. Students will be introduced to the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and related legal rules and institutions relevant to the Wilhelm C Vis International Mooting Competition.
