EDP1110 Becoming an Effective Teacher in the Primary School Classroom

Description:

This unit will use reflective processes to engage and extend pre-service teachers’ thinking about teachers and teaching in a changing world. The unit will provide opportunities for pre-service teachers to engage with and draw on educational theory, policy and practice as they develop a philosophical understanding of teachers and teaching. The focus will be on the teacher as a decision maker and learner and will address issues related to values and worldviews and how these inform teachers’ understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, relationships and diversity.
