2D Design Major
MATWDD
G80 BACHELOR OF CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

It is the intention of this eight-unit major to further a student’s understanding and knowledge of both print based and screen based design and graphics. Its intent is to both introduce students to various advanced design methodologies, understandings and technologies as well as to encourage students to explore a range of different print and or screen based design contexts. The Design Industry, in terms of both screen and print based graphics and design is an ever-changing discipline and designers today need to be flexible, creative visual problem solvers across a range of contexts, technologies and media. This major acknowledges the fluidity of the contemporary design landscape and prepares students for this rapidly changing environment. The major/supporting major has been designed with a view to complement other courses such as graphic design, interactive multimedia, spatial design, film and video and games design.
