T01 University Diploma in Psychological Studies | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
INTRODUCTION This course is designed for students who are interested in obtaining an introduction to the discipline of psychology. This 12-month full-time course provides students with knowledge about the latest theoretical issues impacting on psychology and introduces them to the practical applications of this knowledge. Successful completion of this University Diploma will allow students to apply for the BA (Psychology) through TISC.
The course is available by full-time or part-time internal study on Joondalup campus. Some units are also available externally. |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated ECU English entry and Year 12 completion or equivalent or At least 2 years relevant professional experience or Mature entry (i.e. at least 20 years of age in the year the course commences.)
OR
Portfolio entry.
Students for whom English is not their first language must have proof of language proficiency. This can be the Cambridge Proficiency Test at Grade "C" level, IELTS of 6.5 or a TOEFL minimum score of 550 including TWE of 5. For European students, other equivalents may apply. |

COURSE STRUCTURE Each unit involves three hours contact time per week during the 13-week semester. Psychology units comprise 75% of the program.
Students are required to have a total of 120 credit points to complete the course. |
