E72 Bachelor of Science (Security)

The Faculty of Computing, Health and Science offers a general Bachelor of Science with a wide range of discipline concentrations and a number of more specialised Bachelor of Science courses providing specifically identified major studies.


Requirements for each of the specific awards offered in the School of Engineering and Mathematics are detailed below.

This is a three year full-time (or part-time equivalent) program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree.


The Bachelor of Science (Security) course is designed to develop knowledge and skills in security management and security technologies necessary for employment in such areas as: government security, private sector security, strategic facilities security, retail security, financial institutions security, corporate security, and major security organisations.


The course emphasises security risk and the function and management of security technology in the protection of assets, and is supported by appropriate studies in law and ethics. Graduates will be well equipped for a career in the security industry.
