CSE4201 Teaching Computing
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Credit Points: 10

Description:
This unit has been designed for teachers of computing. It provides an opportunity to explore the rationale and motivation for the inclusion of computing as a subject area in school curricula. It explores the forms of curricula that are currently taught and examines factors that influence the content and methodologies. The unit investigates a number of key areas of interest to the computing teacher including pedagogics appropriate to teaching and learning with the new technologies. A number of issues are also addressed in a manner that will hopefully alert students to being sensitive towards unintended outcomes and events that can occur as a consequence of particular implementations of computing curricula.

This Unit is part of the following Courses / Unit Sets
