Description:
This unit provides business finance and economics students with the basic quantitative/mathematical skills to analyse issues in a business environment. Topics include methods and applications of: functions and relations; the different models of economic behaviour; matrices; differential and integral calculus including full&partial differentiation; unconstrained and equality constrained optimisation; multiple regression analysis, an introduction to econometric analysis with discussion of the concepts of autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity and model specification problems.
