H77 / U55 Master of Career Development

INTRODUCTION

The Master of Career Development is a professional qualification for practitioners in the fields of career development, career counselling, career and life coaching, education and training, employment and outplacement support services, human resource development, and labour market programs.  Graduates will be positioned to take professional career practitioner and career development leadership roles in government, private enterprise, not for profit organisations and as private career practitioners.

 

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

Flexible Delivery and Intensive Mode.

 

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applications will normally be required to have an undergraduate degree and significant experience in the field.

 

SPECIAL EXIT POINTS

Graduate Certificate in Career Development (completion of Stage One).

 

NOTES

The course comprises eight units.  The Career Development, Career Development in Practice, Advanced Studies in Career Development, and Career Development Professional Project units are available in flexible delivery mode. The Employability and Enterprise Skills and Career Coaching units are available in flexible or combined intensive and flexible delivery mode.  The Counselling Skills for Career Development and the Career Coaching units must be completed in intensive mode. Students may select either CDE5124 or CDE5129.
