Q41 / H45 Master of Public Health

The Master of Public Health by Coursework is recognised nationally and internationally as the appropriate qualification for health professionals seeking to work in the public health domain.  The award will provide students with general and specific knowledge and skills for promoting and maintaining the physical, social and mental health of the public.

 

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

Full-time or part-time external study (online). 

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

An undergraduate degree or relevant postgraduate qualification.


COURSE STRUCTURE

Students will complete 240 credit points (12 units of study), comprising of four core units and eight elective units. Within the electives there is an option for students to undertake a small research project at the end of the course.  A list of elective units can be obtained from the Student Support Officer. It is recommened that you complete each consecutive stage before commencing the next.

Students may exit with a Graduate Certificate in Public Health after completing Stage 1.

Students have the opportunity to undertake two research project units in place of two of their electives to enable them to gain some research experience. (Note: This is not a thesis.)
