The Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology)/Bachelor of Science (Library Technology) is a double degree that aims to produce graduates capable of filling senior roles in the information services, information brokerage, information management and knowledge management industries. The course is designed to address market needs for professional information services staff with a broad range of high level skills in information management and information technology.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Computer Society. The course is also recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association at professional librarian level.

Current ECU students studying a Bachelor of Science (Communication and Information Technology), or the Associate Degree of Science (Library Technology), may apply to transfer with full credit.

ELECTIVE UNITS |
Instead of a Minor Study, students may select six elective units (totalling 90 credit points) offered by the University, with the approval of the course coordinator. No more than two of these units may be at first year level.
