MITHDE  Minor in 3D Design Minor 

This unit set is available in the following courses:

Spatial or 3D design is an ever-increasing discipline within design practice. Commercially this area of design embraces thematic retail design and the consumer experience; Exhibitions and displays; Public 3D artefacts; the design and construction of retail shops, cafés, restaurants, and public institutional facades and interiors. This area of design practice also includes areas such as 3D signage, narrative space and architectural enhancements. The 3D design minor introduces and engages students in the skills, knowledge, contexts and understandings associated with the practice of 3D or spatial design in many of its forms. This minor prepares students for immediate practice in the emergent growth industries associated with the practice, knowledge and understanding of three-dimensional design. This minor has been designed with a view, to complement other courses such as graphic design, 2D design, games design.
