The Graphic Design major introduces students to the skills, technologies and creative methodologies, which underpin the discipline of Graphic Design. Graphic Design is the discipline involved with organizing visual information across a range of media outcomes and client contexts. It includes both print based and screen based outcomes as well as filmic, motion graphic outcomes. This major introduces students to the fundamental techniques and tools used in the organization of visual information and is constructed as a cumulative set of skills, tools, understandings and applications which prepare students for a role within the design industry as graphically literate practitioners and has been designed with a view to complement other courses such as 3D and 2D design, contemporary fashion, interactive multimedia, photomedia studies, film and video and games design.
