The unit will examine the importance of critical thinking and reflective practice to the clinical educator’s role in the effective transfer of theoretical concepts into clinical practice. Unit content will focus on the interrelationship of the clinical educator, the student, the client and the clinical milieu. Teaching strategies, learning styles, the development of cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills, performance evaluation and the socialisation of both the student and the educator within clinical settings will be examined. | |||
