This unit will introduce students to the general principles of plant taxonomy and identification. Students will become familiar with the major Australian vascular plant families and be able to identify plants given appropriate floras. The Australian flora will be discussed in context of the world flora and its significance in terms of biodiversity, endemism and speciation. | |||
