Description:

This unit introduces the general principles of product design and development, from concept to detailed design, manufacturing, prototyping and testing of the product. It considers methods for evaluation and selection of alternative designs and manufacturing processes and techniques. It then engages students in a major multidisciplinary design and development project which integrates some elements of electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering.
