Description:

This unit explores a range of physiological functions in animals, concentrating particularly on vertebrates. The comparative approach to physiology allows an appreciation of evolutionary progression, relationships between animal groups, and the diverse ways in which animals have adapted to their environment and specialised in their ecological roles.
