Description:
Overview of functions and objectives of financial institutions; the regulatory environment; financial analysis of deposit-taking institutions; theory of asset - liability management; liquidity management; retail lending, wholesale lending; the pricing decision; financial market prices and yields; the security portfolio; interest margin analysis; fund gap analysis; risk management; capital planning; the roles of derivatives and securitisation.
