732 / 698 Master of Medicine (Palliative Care)
The Master of Medicine (Palliative Care) is designed for medical practitioners who spend a substantial proportion of their practice in the palliative care field. Practitioners successfully completing this course will build on the Post Graduate Diploma of Medicine (Palliative Care) or its equivalent, if approved by the course supervisor, and become familiar with research principles and methodology. This will enable a major research project to be completed. COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY The course is available off-campus through E-Central. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Post Graduate Diploma of Medicine (Palliative Care) or equivalent, or recognition of previous study and experience taken to be equivalent. COURSE STRUCTURE The overall course comprises the six semester units of study from the Post Graduate Diploma of Medicine (Palliative Care), and, in the second year of the course, two research units and a research thesis undertaken in a suitable area of interest as mutually agreed by the practitioner and supervisor.
