E35 Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

This degree provides an opportunity for students to work in the field of special education. The first two years of the program are completed in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary) course. Upon successful completion, students may then transfer to the Bachelor of Education (Special Education) degree. Students will continue to focus on their area of specialisation (Early Childhood, Primary or Secondary). On completion of this degree students will be eligible to teach in a range of education support facilities in addition to a regular school.

Students who hold a teaching qualification and are four year trained and who wish to teach in Special Education, may complete the Graduate Certificate of Education in Special Education.

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

The course is available for full-time study on Churchlands campus in 2003 and will be moving to Mount Lawley campus from 2004.
