GEO3126 Geography of Tourism and Recreation

Description:

This unit examines the spatial consequences of the growth of tourism at local and regional levels in Australia, and then broadens to a global outlook. The importance of managing the natural and cultural environment, as well as respect for the rights of local (including Indigenous) communities, is emphasised as a prerequisite for sustainable tourism development. Practical skills are developed through workshops, projects and field excursions.
