Description:
This unit provides students with an overview of organic chemistry. The unit investigates the structures, functions and reactions of various classes of organic compounds and biomolecules. Some important applications of organic substances are discussed. Laboratory work includes a range of organic preparative, spectroscopic and analytical techniques.
