Description:

This unit introduces students to the Australian legal system, the methods of statutory interpretation and legal research and writing. It examines the history of the common law and the process by which common law is developed. The unit will examine the Court hierarchy and the process of precedent. The unit will examine the role of legislation and the way in which legislation is developed by Parliament.
