This unit explores what it’s like to have a disability. It provides an introduction to the concepts of impairment, disability and handicap. It provides information about a range of disabilities and aims to personalise information by investigating the life experiences of people with disabilities. The unit gives students an opportunity to discuss their own views and experience with disability issues and the way societies respond to challenges associated with disabilities. | |||
