This unit explores the principles and practice underpinning the assessment and management of the neonate. It extends earlier theoretical and clinical experiences surrounding the normal neonate, and provides students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to provide appropriate care for at risk, unwell or premature neonates. Issues relating to parenting healthy infants and infants who have complex needs due to pathology will be explored. Full Unit Outline | |||
