COU6121 Psychodynamic Theories of Counselling

Description:
This unit provides a critical appraisal of the major psychoanalytic approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. It introduces students to very different variants of psychodynamic practice. Each tradition of practice addresses itself to very specific conceptual problems; taking practice in new directions. It is the clinical implications of these variations that is of particular interest.
