This unit investigates the interactions that are necessary for organisations to create effective Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategies. It will extend your knowledge and understanding of the management issues involved in the efficient integration of suppliers, manufacturing centers, warehouses, distribution centers and retail outlets. The concepts of total supply chain costs coupled with the implications of short product life cycles and heightened expectations of customers are evaluated.
