AVM5202 Clinical Aviation Medicine: Aircrew Medical Certification

Description:
This unit will examine the International Civil Aviation Organisations Standards and Recommended Practices for Aircrew and Air Traffic Controller Medical Certification. It will cover the important aspects of the physical examination and the consideration of certification in those applicants who are suffering from disease or injury including the relevant investigations. The unit will also cover the concept of risk assessment in medical certification and the use of this tool in certification of applicants with potentially disqualifying conditions.
