The unit will provide an introduction to what it means to be an IT professional. In particular, it will provide an understanding of what is expected of an IT professional in terms of how to advise organisations about technology related matters and generally the role and contribution of an IT professional to the organisation. It is assumed that good IT practice stems from solid professional and ethical values and so all discussions and activities in this unit will ensure that these aspects are to the fore. | |||
