An introduction to universal design and the use and evaluation of assistive devices to make the most effective use of technology in school, at work, in the community and at home. An overview of information, communication, manipulation, ambulation, locomotion, and environmental technologies that enhance access for people with disabilities. Particular attention is given to issues related to proper positioning when using assistive technology devices and to measuring and evaluating performance outcomes. Full Unit Outline | |||
