This unit further develops the foundations of theory and practice in midwifery. Students investigate the physical, biological, psychological, cultural, social and spiritual needs of women with an uncomplicated pregnancy during labour, birth and postpartum. Students participate in education programs that address the family's information needs in relation to choices for labour and birth. | |||
