The aim of this unit is to help students to develop skills in accessing and appraising the evidence upon which to base their practice. The unit introduces students to quantitative and qualitative research methods in health related inquiry. Emphasis is given to an appraisal of the components of published research reports and accessing relevant literature to apply a body of research knowledge to selected clinical problems or concerns.
