This unit develops an understanding of how managerial accounting adds values to organisations' strategic and operational decision making processes. Emphasis will be directed towards developing the skills required in the managerial planning and control decision making process. In addition to identifying the information and principles that are relevant for internal reporting to support a user oriented focus for managerial decision making, the unit also strives to develop key skills including, problem solving, critical thinking, data analysis, communication, collaboration and team work skills.
