This unit focuses on the specific processes, practices and skills required for advanced practitioners in their chosen clinical specialty of advanced medical – surgical, critical care, emergency, gerontology, nephrology, neuroscience, orthopaedics, or perioperative nursing. The effects of illness on the functioning of the individual's health and the use of nursing skills and technology will be analysed. Integration of current literature and research with practice in the chosen specialty will facilitate advanced practice. | |||
