This unit examines a number of major human diseases with specific attention to the nutrition management and the construction of appropriate nutrition care plans. The unit covers the basic pathophysiological processes, signs and symptoms of the diseases and incorporates problem-solving and planning as they relate to clinical dietetic work with infants and children, adults and the elderly.
