This unit explores current developments in the knowledge base for nutrition and dietetics. Recent advances in genetics, medicine, immunology, and food technology together with selected alternative health therapies, will underpin the unit's content as it relates to the nutrition care process, as well as the application of a set of advanced skills in nutrition counselling.
