This unit will introduce you to the application of technology to the tourism industry. The role of the Internet, customer-driven technologies, computerised reservation systems, global distribution systems and issue of dis-intermediation in tourism will be investigated. This unit involves the synthesis of theoretical aspects of technology with practical application of tourism technology, especially related to distribution. | |||
