This unit provides the student with a basic understanding of economic theory and practice as it applies to the environment. The context of the unit is the different ways aspects of the environment are valued. The unit is structured to contrast the way environmental features are internalised or externalised by traditional market forces, with developing alternatives brought by an ecological approach to economic systems. | |||
