This unit provides advanced students with the opportunity to undertake supervised work in a professional capacity. Students are responsible for finding the placement (except in journalism). Reporting back to an academic co-ordinator, the student successfully completes their attachment to a relevant workplace. A learning contract, entered into by student, workplace supervisor and academic co-ordinator determines the specific content and teaching and learning processes, together with the skills and competencies to be acquired and demonstrated. A personal career focused resume and portfolio will be developed by the student to reflect the professional experience. | |||
