This unit takes a lifespan perspective within contemporary developmental psychology and looks at related theories and models of growth. The unit looks at the course of human growth and development from conception to adolescence as well as growth and development through adulthood and old age to the end of the life cycle. Research strategies which have been developed to validate the theories of development will be discussed and students will participate in minor research exercises. | |||
