This unit introduces the basic philosophy and fundamental ideas of early mathematics learning and education for children aged 0 - 8, with a particular emphasis on ages 0 - 4. The focus of this unit is on the early development of the concepts, skills and language of mathematics, in relation to number, geometry and measurement.
