Description: | |||
Further development of some of the standard techniques of mathematical modelling including identification of assumptions, parameters and variables; definition of particular cases; re-formulation of problems; verification and validation of models. Computer-based techniques will be introduced including non-linear curve fitting, generation of data from discrete and continuous probability distributions and elementary simulation methods.
