This unit investigates issues concerned with the physical, ecological and cultural systems of coastlines. Topics such as coastal zone utilisation, methods of shoreline management and beach issues are considered. Physical properties of the coast such as waves, tides, and beaches are also examined. A significant component of this unit is the practical and theoretical consideration of the water problem in coastal south Western Australia. Full Unit Outline | |||
