PPA3534 | Professional Practice 3 | ||
Description: | |||
This unit has a theory and a practical component. The on-campus component is designed to develop an understanding of values that underpin both the formal and 'hidden' curriculum. This unit supports the disposition to question and explore aspects of teaching and learning skills and to inquire into issues or curriculum relevant to their teaching and learning experiences. It provides the opportunity for assistant teachers to participate in wider professional debates, which explore the connection between policy and practice. The in-school component, referred to as the Assistant Teacher Program (ATP), enables assistant teachers to apply their understandings of teaching and learning in a kindergarten and/or pre-primary setting.
