Earth’s oceans and atmosphere are examined by means of an introduction to the sciences of oceanography and meteorology. The ocean/atmosphere association is a significant aspect of the unit. Students investigate a range of physical, chemical and biological phenomena associated with our planet’s unique marine environment. A snorkelling excursion to a near-shore limestone reef in the south west is an important practical aspect of the unit. Full Unit Outline | |||
